Opened in 2007 Victory Heights Montessori offers a five-day Preschool and Kindergarten Montessori Program for children between 3 and 6 years of age. Preschoolers attend our program from 8:30 until 11:30, Monday through Friday. Our Kindergarteners stay until 2:30 each day.
Our Mission:
Our mission is to provide an environment, based on the Montessori method, that is rich in activities which involve each child in his own education and match his interests at different stages in development, and to guide the child in these activities as we observe his unique needs and talents.
We are proud part of the STRIDE Program, a non-profit in Winchester that has been serving our community since 1968.
Our Instructors:
Julie Burgel graduated from UK in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. She completed her American Montessori Society certification for the Lower Elementary Program in 1994. Julie received her Masters Degree in Reading from UK in 1997. For a total of 14 years, she taught Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, and many combinations of these grades in Fayette County Public Schools.
